10 Years

Since it is 1/1/11, I have been thinking about what my life looked like 10 years ago. I was a poor college student living at home driving a very used Ford Aerostar minivan. I was working at a scrapbook store, which was really fun at the time. In college, I was a pre-nursing major. I was all of 19 years old...9/11 had not happened yet. I had never tried Starbucks (or anything else), had a serious relationship, and the world I thought would be and life I thought would be were mere daydreams.

Today, I drive a 2010 Toyota Camry. I am living in a house with 2 other fantastic girls. I don't have a ton of money, but I have enough ;) I work at a High School teaching choir, which is still fun...Contemplating starting my Master's. You can do the math on my age...I have a beautiful niece, and will have a handsome nephew in May. My brother has served 3 tours to Iraq. Friends have moved, married, had their 3rd and 4th babies, new friends have entered the circle. The world has changed, and my life has taken a different direction than I thought it would.

A lot changes in 10 years. These are just a few things that stick out. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who continues to bless me, more than I could ever imagine. And though I don't have everything I want, I do have everything I need. I have been given much in these last 10 years. Many friends, many memories, many life lessons, many spiritual experiences.

Here's to the next 10!

Amazing how much things change in 10 years! Everything you want will come as it is supposed to. As long as you have everything you need, you wil be fine. Love you!
